Food for Our Neighbors (FFON)

Christ calls us to “feed the hungry”. This ministry does this by teaming up with local community partners and other churches in the diocese. EIM Certification is REQUIRED to serve in these areas.

Here are ways that you can serve in this Food for Our Neighbors Ministry:- SVDP Food Pantry Day of Service - 3rd Saturday each month

- Mobile Loaves & Fishes Truck - 3rd Tuesday & 3rd Friday each month

Mobilie Loaves & Fishes Truck
Operated out of St. Louis Catholic Church -2114 St. Joseph Boulevard. Volunteers sort food donations and prepare the MLF trucks to go out into the community and serve neighbors in need. Donations of clothing, toiletries, shoes and other personal items are also needed for the truck.
Dates of Service: 3rd Tuesday and 3rd Friday of each month.

St. Vincent de Paul Food PantrySt. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is located at 901 W. Braker Lane, Austin, Texas 78758. The pantry is stocked weekly with meat, fresh produce, dairy, bread, canned goods, desserts, and more. Diapers are also available upon request. Emergency food boxes are available during Client Services hours Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
St. Albert Day of Service - 3rd Saturday -7:30 a.m-9:30 or 9:15 -11:30 a.m. Must be EIM certified.

St. Louis Food Pantry
St. Louis Food Pantry is a partner agency of the Central Texas Food Bank. The pantry provides groceries, dry goods and fresh seasonal vegetables and distribute the food to those within our community.
The food pantry is located at 2114 St. Joseph Boulevard off Burnet Road, in the Parish Social Ministries Building, Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
We serve registered St. Albert the Great parishioners and those residing in the following zip codes: 78756 78757; PORTIONS OF 78752; 78753; 78758; 78727; 78729; 78731 & 78759. -
Supper Club - Foundation Communities
Volunteers provide a full meal to our neighbors who were formerly unhoused and who now live in a Foundation Community Apartment. This fun event is done on a quarterly basis. The Supper Club offers residents a chance to get together and get to know one another, and it provides an opportunity for volunteers to fellowship with and get to know our neighbors. All meals are prepared by volunteers & served on site.

St. Albert the Great - Feast of Grace
This parish-wide Thanksgiving meal is prepared each November on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Volunteers provide food and fellowship to our neighbors in need from the parish community as well as the surrounding community. 2024 Date=November 27- 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
