Blessing of the Pets

Bring your pets this weekend, October 6, 2018, at 10 a.m., in the Church Courtyard, to get their special blessing.  This is being done in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi's Feast Day which is on October 4.  Saint Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of animals and ecology.  He expresed his devotion to God in his love for all of God's creation, including animals.  He not only cared for the poor and the sick among people, he even preached sermons to animals and praised them as brothers and sisters under God.
