What is a Living Rosary? – It is when each of us become a “Living Bead” as we take turns citing a Hail Mary. We need at least 50 people/couples/families (one for each Hail Mary of the five decades) to participate reciting a Hail Mary prayer out loud. (The Knights of Columbus will recite the Our Father prayers.)
What to expect - When you arrive the ushers will give each “Living Bead” (family) a keepsake prayer card with the Hail Mary prayer and a rose. You will also receive a numbered card that will identify your decade. You and your family may sit anywhere you like in the center of the church. A prayer leader will read a mystery. Then the first decade group will stand and one by one, our “Living Beads” (families) will recite a Hail Mary prayer (in any language), and place their rose in the vases at the alter, and return to their seat. After each decade group is finished, we’ll enjoy hearing a beautiful piece of music.
As you arrive to the Narthex, all guests are invited to write their intentions on cards to be offered to our Holy Mother Mary for her intercession.
