Testimony Thursday

This week our #TestimonyThursday is from Amy!
As a lifelong devout Protestant, I didn’t fully know and appreciate Catholic teachings and the 7 Sacraments. Christian Initiation (OCIA) provided another rich layer of information and tools (prayer, discernment, and more) to better understand, deepen, and enrich my faith. It also provided an expansive gateway to continued conversion and commitment to the Word of God.
It was critically important to me to respect and build on my foundational religious tradition, where I came to know and trust in God as a child. My peace in conversion came when I realized that weaving together the power of the Sacraments with the love, joy, and peace inherent in my lifelong faith, revealed a phenomenal path to continue to strive to realize the blessing of salvation Jesus offers us. Therefore, Abba Father-I love you, I believe in you, I trust in you, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done.
