5) Handing out snack packs, hygiene kits, and bottles of water is always a great help. In these packs they could include Continuum of Care information about the Coordinated Assessment and other utility resources, shelter resources, etc.

You can buy free food from food pantries in the area and save that money on rent and utilities: For all food pantries except SVdP, please call and go because we do not know the timings and procedures for co-vid. Also, please check regarding diapers, bus passes and hygiene products when you visit any food pantry.

It's that time of year again! Free Minds, a nonprofit program within Foundation Communities that connects Austin-area adults with access to free college credits in the humanities, is open for applications. On class nights, we're able to provide free food and free childcare in addition to covering the cost of tuition and supplies. Classes are held in the evenings to accommodate full-time work schedules. Our overall goal is to help families overcome barriers to receiving higher education and the economic benefits that come along with it. Applications for Free Minds close on July 8
